Everyone has lenses through which they view the world. This is the first installment of pieces of culture that have stuck with me and remained vital to my understanding of what it is to be human. I want to make a kind of database of the “essential culture” of my friends and myself, so if you have some, e-mail me. I want to collect and document this as a project over the summer.
